Moving towards differential diagnosis with voice

Moving towards differential diagnosis with voice

At Psyrin, we’re committed to transforming mental health care not just with better infrastructure, but with research innovation centered around prevention. Building on our mission, we are proud to introduce MINDAIM (Mental Health, Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorder Detection With Artificial Intelligence Models), a groundbreaking study aimed at enhancing diagnostic accuracy for complex mental health conditions using advanced AI and voice analysis.

What Is MINDAIM?

MINDAIM is a multi-year, observational study designed to evaluate Psyrin’s AI-driven platform in producing likelihood scores for multiple differential diagnoses across diverse clinical settings. By analyzing short speech samples and integrating them with validated questionnaires, our proprietary AI models extract vocal and linguistic markers associated with various mental health conditions. This approach aims to assist clinicians in distinguishing between overlapping psychiatric disorders, facilitating more accurate and timely diagnoses.

Why It Matters

Accurate diagnosis in mental health care is often challenged by overlapping symptoms and subjective assessments. Traditional diagnostic methods can be time-consuming and may lead to misdiagnoses, delaying appropriate treatment. MINDAIM seeks to address these challenges by providing objective, scalable, and rapid assessments that support clinicians in making informed decisions. By leveraging AI and voice analysis, we aim to reduce diagnostic ambiguity and improve patient outcomes.

The Future of Biomarkers

MINDAIM is more than a study; it represents a step towards a future where mental health assessments are enhanced by technology. Our AI-powered tools are designed to be integrated into clinical workflows, offering real-time insights that complement traditional assessments. Through collaboration with leading clinical organizations and continuous refinement of our models, we strive to create tools that are not only innovative but also clinically validated and ethically implemented.

What’s Next

Recruitment for MINDAIM is currently underway, with plans to enroll participants across various partner sites. We’re excited to have Allwell Behavioral Health Services and The Brookline Center as great partners in this innovative study, alongside experienced PIs like Dr. George Moses.

The study will involve periodic assessments over a defined period, allowing us to track changes and refine our models for greater accuracy. Initial findings from MINDAIM will inform Psyrin’s ongoing efforts to develop AI-driven tools that enhance mental health diagnostics and care delivery.
