We combine expertise in AI, neuroscience, and clinical practice to build solutions for every dimension of mental health assessment and care.
Our Story
We believe that psychiatry is at a crossroads. The traditional model of care is not sustainable. We need to move towards a more patient-centered model of care.
We strongly believe that high-quality care is the engine of engagement, patient outcome, and financial sustainability. Quality is prioritized at every step.
Our technology is built on scientific foundations, with every feature and algorithm developed with rigorous research and clinical testing.
We deploy AI technology responsibly, guided by ethics, safety, and impact. All our solutions are informed by patient and clinician feedback.
Founded in 2024, Psyrin emerged from a collaboration between doctors, clinical psychologists, and AI researchers who recognized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in mental healthcare.
Our founding team saw firsthand how clinicians were overwhelmed with administrative tasks, limiting their ability to deliver personalized care. Meanwhile, patients struggled with fragmented assessment processes and limited support between sessions.
But we also recognized deeper challenges: the field's reliance on subjective diagnostic categories, the one-size-fits-all approach to treatment, and the reactive nature of mental healthcare that waits for crises rather than preventing them.
Psyrin was created to address these challenges by developing intelligent systems that enhance the quality of care while improving operational efficiency for mental health providers. Through AI-powered structured interviews, comprehensive patient monitoring, and emerging biomarker integration, we're methodically laying the groundwork for the precision psychiatry we believe is possible.
Today, our technology is used by leading clinics and research institutions, supporting clinicians and improving outcomes for patients across the mental health spectrum.
Edwin is co-founder and CEO of Psyrin, where he leads the company’s strategy, and partnerships, working to bring systems-level change in mental health. He completed his PhD at King’s College London and the National University of Singapore, where he worked on large-scale genetic studies for psychiatry. Before Psyrin, Edwin was active in deeptech innovation via Entrepreneur First and Nucleate UK.
Julianna is co-founder and CTO, where she leads Psyrin’s technological and scientific innovation, with a focus on real-world clinical impact. She earned her PhD from King’s College London for pioneering work on the use of voice biomarkers to identify mental illness. She also founded Hungary’s largest digital therapy marketplace, which has supported 10,000+ mental health sessions.
As co-Founder and COO, Raheem helps translate clinical complexity into operational clarity, bringing clinician perspectives into our work and partnerships. He completed his medical degree at King’s College London and worked as a resident doctor in liaison psychiatry at King’s College Hospital before leaving clinical practice. During his time in the NHS, Raheem contributed to a series of innovative projects across healthcare settings.
Aeron leads Psyrin's Engineering team, bridging clinical practice and technology. He holds an MSc in Neuroscience from Oxford, specializing in cognitive and computational neuroscience. Before joining Psyrin, he was pursuing a DPhil in dopaminergic circuits and their role in typical and atypical decision-making.
Omar leads Psyrin’s AI efforts, driving the development of voice- and language-based models that power our clinical products and produce mental health insights. He first worked with Psyrin while completing his Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at University College London. Before that, he developed AI tools for mental health, including a platform that used sentiment analysis to flag suicide risk on social media.
